Rudiak Officially Announces Candidacy, Opens Office

Natalia Rudiak officially kicked-off her campaign for Pittsburgh City Council last Thursday night with her office opening and announcement party. The event started at 7:00 PM and was well attended by enthusiastic supporters from all across the 4th district! More than 100 people were in attendance to hear Natalia formally announce her bid for the open seat.

Natalia was born and raised in Carrick, and was shaped by the communities she is running to represent as a member of City Council. She said in her remarks:

[My parents] gave me the qualities that I also see in the faces and actions of my neighbors today—the qualities that built this city and made it such a great place to live, and work, and to call home.

As an involved member of the community over the last several years, Natalia has seen first hand how much of a difference can be made by taking action. When she was young, she grew up in a close knit and supportive community. She is running for this seat to renew the neighborhoods she grew up in and make sure that families in south Pittsburgh today have the same support she had growing up.

I am running to renew our community, street by street and block by block. And we can do that by protecting our neighborhoods, rebuilding our business districts, and working to earn back the public’s trust after years of public mismanagement.

A a former Carrick resident, I look forward to supporting you in your efforts! Your comments are refreshing and moving. Although I am in the suburbs, Carrick always remains a part of who I am. I am thrilled to see someone willing to reinvest in what was once a beautiful community.
