Natalia Rudiak was born and raised in South Pittsburgh. She graduated from Carrick High School and Carnegie Mellon University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management. Currently, Natalia runs her own small business where she helps non-profit organizations and community groups create and implement concrete plans for growth and collaboration. Natalia enjoys spending time with her family and renovating her house, located two doors away from her old elementary school.
Natalia’s professional experience is in management and technology. She previously worked at Deloitte Consulting, where she implemented a state-wide information technology system. She trained hundreds of county employees and social workers, and tracked over $1.4 billion of state funding. She has also done press work for the United States Senate in Washington, DC, and worked for a public health organization in New York, promoting safe and healthy motherhood.
Natalia earned her Bachelor’s Degree from George Washington University through scholarships from the Pennsylvania and national AFL-CIO. During her undergraduate career, she studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as Jagiellonian University in Poland.
As an active member of the South Pittsburgh Neighborhood Forum, Natalia has helped individuals and groups across the district share information and work together through better use of technology and management. On November 3, 2009 Natalia was elected to represent District 4 on Pittsburgh’s City Council with more than 98% of the vote after winning the Democratic Primary the previous May. She will be sworn in on January 4th, 2010.

About the 4th District
The fourth district of the Pittsburgh City Council consists of six neighborhoods in South Pittsburgh: Brookline; Beechview; Carrick; Overbrook; Bon Air; and one precinct of Mt. Washington. In 2000, the district’s population was 38,705, an 8.5% decline from 1990. The district includes just over 17,000 registered Democrats. Roughly one-third of Democratic voters live in a household with a labor union member and 55% are women. The median household income of the district is $35,563.
